It has been almost a year since our last update here, (in February it will be 3 years since the war started) and the war is still raging on. Reinhard and Darcey are still working hard with your support to travel into Ukraine, bringing help and encouragement to the people there.
This weekend Reinhard travelled to where there is a lot of unrest. He sent the following update early this morning, and he would greatly appreciate your prayers.
"I am in Mykoliav, Ukraine for a few days, delivering supplies and visiting pastor Aleksandr. On Sunday I was invited to preach the gospel in the church and in the afternoon we delivered supplies for veterans at a local hospital. We had a time of sharing and praying for the men with the military chaplain... it was a good day.
"On Sunday night it was unnerving as I woke up in the middle of the night to the wailing of warning sirens followed by the sounds of huge explosions. After a short prayer, I fell back into a restless sleep and woke early in the morning to the news that 5 people died, when a Russian drone hit a house in Mykolaiv. Rescuers are still trying to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack. Another drone destroyed an apartment on the fourth floor of a 4-story building. Three to four floors caught fire and another 22 people were injured.
This is the terror that Ukrainians live under every day and night! Even as I write this, warnings are sounding that more planes are in the air, and it is possible that missiles are coming.
But life continues on for everyone - children who slept in shelters open their books for online schooling, men and women fortunate enough to have a job still go to work, restaurants and shops open for business. It's a little surreal to see everyone go about their business even as the threat of additional terrorists bombs hang overhead.

We continue to support Ukraine. There are so many elderly people, children, and families in desperate situations and without hope. We have been given a great commission by Jesus, and therefore, we continue..."
We ask for your prayers, not only for safety for Reinhard and those who are continuing on in this good work, but also for the people of Ukraine, and for the end of this war. If you have a moment to send an email to Reinhard and Darcey, letting them know you are praying, they would be very encouraged by that (rdnrasa@gmail.com).

God bless you!
Our prayers are with you Reinhardt and Darcey and the people of Ukraine during this very difficult time. May God protect and bring this conflict to an end!
