Dear friends of Romania and Ukraine,

Greetings from Canada and Romania! Mom and Dad have been in Canada for a much needed rest and to reconnect with family (including a new grandbaby!) and friends. It has been a wonderful time!

In Romania, the staff at the Center have been doing a marvelous job keeping the ministry activities going and preparing for the Christmas outreach with gift bags for children, as well as food and firewood for families in desperate situations.

As of today - December 18th, Mom and Dad have returned to Romania to help with the distribution of hundreds of children's gift and food bags, and then begin deliveries into Ukraine again.

The situation in Ukraine is going from bad to worse as the Russians continue to bomb electrical and gas distribution centers. It is a cold winter, and they struggle to keep warm in their apartments and homes! The Russians have bombed stations again in many regions of Ukraine, including Odessa. So at this moment, a lot of places are without any electrical power or are experiencing rolling black outs. Dad's contacts in Odessa, Nikolaev, and Kherson have told him it is quite dangerous now everywhere. Because of this, more people are displaced and leaving Ukraine.

Before the end of the year, Dad and the team will take Christmas gift bags for many children and also food bags for distribution.

Mom and Dad would appreciate your prayers as they settle back in from their trip. They are also feeling the need for financial help as they prepare to take in more refugees, and as they load the vans with food, medicines, heaters, generators, and warm clothing to the churches and defenders in the Ukraine. The Ukrainians are so grateful for the support and love you have already shown, and my parents receive many hugs on your behalf!
